ILM Level 3 Effective Coaching & Mentoring

Implement effective coaching and mentoring to improve organisational performance.

The purpose of the ILM Level 3 Effective Coaching and Mentoring qualification is to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to coach or mentor individuals effectively in an organisational setting.

Ideal for both Team Leaders and Managers, who are required to coach others within their organisation and provide a more supportive style of leadership, in order to improve performance, or where coaching forms part of their job role. Learners must have access to at least one coachee throughout the course, as you will be required to undertake a minimum of six hours of coaching.

Content includes:

• Introduction to coaching and mentoring: Understand the principles and benefits of coaching and mentoring
• Effective communication skills: Develop effective communication skills, including active listening, questioning, and giving feedback
• Building effective coaching & mentoring relationships: Learn how to establish productive coaching and mentoring relationships and build trust with coachees/mentees
• Setting goals and objectives: Develop techniques for setting goals and objectives that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound
• Identifying and leveraging strengths: Learn how to identify and leverage coachees/mentees' strengths and help them overcome obstacles and challenges
• Reflective practice and self-assessment: Use reflective practice and self-assessment to improve coaching and mentoring skills and effectiveness
• Assessment and evaluation: Learn how to evaluate and measure the impact of coaching and mentoring interventions, and use this information to improve future coaching and mentoring interactions
