The Myers Briggs Type Indicator test (MBTI) is based on the work of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist.
This tool provides a useful measure of personality, by evaluating eight personality preferences that all people use at different times. When the indicator is taken, the four preferences that you identify as most like you, are combined into what is called a TYPE.

Pyschometric Profiling
Psychometric profiling is commonly used by organisations all over the world to help them identify the characteristics and working style of the individuals they employ.
In recruitment it is a very useful tool that enables the profiler to understand how an individual is likely to perform in the role. Equally, it enables the person completing the profile to identify their strengths and limitations and by understanding their own behaviour, the type of roles where they are likely to excel and functions where they are best suited.
Psychometric profiling tests are a standard and scientific method used to measure individuals' mental capabilities and are typically used to measure a range of skills such as numerical, verbal, abstract, logical reasoning and personality traits.
The benefits of using profiling tools are that the results generated provide an accurate summary of a potential employee's skills and abilities.
