Total Excellence Centre strives to deliver best practice training methods, which is why our team use Belbin Team profiling where appropriate.

This system, developed by the psychologist Meredith Belbin, identifies nine key roles that individuals adopt within a team environment. These roles objectively illustrate how individuals operate within teams. Belbin identified that most people adopt a combination of three or four 'natural' or 'unnatural' roles.

The main benefit of using the Belbin system for individuals, teams and organisations is to allow individuals to understand themselves and their teams more effectively. It helps to understand the motivations of individuals within the team and also when considering team management or restructuring. There are a number of personal development advantages as well, in terms of improved performance management and potential conflict. It can also prove to be invaluable when used as part of any recruitment process.

Pyschometric Profiling

Psychometric profiling is commonly used by organisations all over the world to help them identify the characteristics and working style of the individuals they employ.

In recruitment it is a very useful tool that enables the profiler to understand how an individual is likely to perform in the role.
Equally, it enables the person completing the profile to identify their strengths and limitations and by understanding their own behaviour, the type of roles where they are likely to excel and functions where they are best suited.

Psychometric profiling tests are a standard and scientific method used to measure individuals' mental capabilities and are typically used to measure a range of skills such as numerical, verbal, abstract, logical reasoning and personality traits.

The benefits of using profiling tools are that the results generated provide an accurate summary of a potential employee's skills and abilities.
